Welcome, I’m Bartle.

This website offers my handcrafts for purchase as well as seasonal workshops and offerings. I craft and teach traditional hide tanning, primitive pottery, wet felting and basketry. I also offer in-person workshops in animal slaughters and whole animal processing, wilderness travel, leather tailoring and sewing, modern dance and outdoor based movement arts. 

For the last 15 years I have been making my living this way. This is not just art to me. I use these crafts everyday to cook, clothe, and carry all my material needs. Whether I’m kickin’ it in a base camp or walking 10,000 miles in the wilderness.
